More Mind Games
Following on from my previous post about the telepathy developing between Marcy and me, here’s another example from last night. I swear this is true.
Fed up with the TV, we put some music on at about 10pm. Marcy was sitting on the settee as Badfinger’s Come And Get It came on. “Here you are then — see if you can guess who composed this song while I nip to the loo,” I said.
Now, Marcy enjoys her music as much as I do and she’s heard this track many times before but, unlike me, she’s not got a head full of music trivia — I knew she’d have no idea who’d written it. While I was in the loo I was thinking Paul McCartney, it’s Paul McCartney, say Paul McCartney …
When I came back Marcy was busy in the kitchen. “Come on then, who was it?” I asked, making waving motions towards her with my arms. “I’m sending it to you — like the twins,” I added, referring to the Big Brother episode of a few nights ago where identical twins Sam and Amanda discovered their own telepathic powers courtesy of a hilariously funny BB experiment.
“Oh, I don’t know,” she said over her shoulder. “I really don’t have the faintest idea Paul McCartney.” She said it just like that, with no hesitation for thought.
I was gob-smacked and I stepped back in amazement. “Wha– bloody hell! What did you say?”
“What?”
“Paul McCartney! It is Paul McCartney! You’re right! It worked!!”
“You’re joking!”
The next five minutes were spent ooh-ing and aah-ing delightedly over — and being a little freaked out by — this latest example of our astonishing psychic prowess!

I love it when that happens! I had a brief encounter with my twin soul and it was amazing the things we could do. The connection we had was beyond anything either of us had ever experienced; very spiritual and ethereal. I still know each time his thoughts turn round and he finds me there.

Your wife is patronizing you, she read the track info while you were away and is just messing with you since she knows about your telepathy phase. She, of course, really is psychic.
